Fair 2010

Well the Clinton County Fair is over and hopefully the Flathers family has survived.  This was Sarah's 7th year in 4-H and Kristen's first official year.  She has been a member of the Clover Kids program for 3 years, but is finally in a tradition 4-H club.   Both girls had a good year.  Sarah received 8 blue ribbons and 2 red.  Kristen finished the year with 1 purple ribbon, 11 blue ribbons and 2 green (outstanding junior) ribbons and reserve champion cat.  She also had top dressy for Clothing Selection and Honorable Mention for Fashion Revue.

Kristen ballet performance 2010

Kristen loves to move and make noise. She is always humming or singing or talking under her breath. She was on stage for the entire ballet and didn't dance until the very end. She had to stand still and not move for about 2o minutes. This was very difficult for her but she managed to do it.

Carousel Studio at Great America

Every two to three years Carousel Dance studio makes a trip to Six Flags/Great America to dance for their Dance Contest. Both girls danced this year. Kristen to Sisters and Sarah's group to Sing, Sing, Sing.

Kristen Desert Caravan

Kristen had her piano recital today. She has been working hard to perfect her two songs, Coconut Shuffle and Desert Caravan. I had high hopes of recording the entire thing, but my camera decided not to work. Thankfully Sarah figured out what was going on and quickly whipped out her camera and was able to capture at least part of Desert Caravan. I really like this song as it sounds just like camels moving through the desert.

Sarah played her clarinet solo during the recital also, but alas I wasn't able to capture that at all. Of course my camera wasn't working and the battery went dead on Sarah's camera.
